Last Halloween, our team taste tested "Koolickles." If you're unfamiliar, they are pickle spears marinated in the Kool-Aid flavor of your choosing for about a week.
Here's what we learned: They were edible, but the overall consensus was that we preferred other snacks.
Regardless, it's been 8 months, so why not give it another try?
Last Thursday, Josh walked into the office holding two glass jars.
Koolickles? Nope. Kool-Aid Pineapples. Kool-Apples? Pine-Aid?
Same concept — marinate in your favorite Kool-Aid flavor for a week — but this time with pineapple spears. Sounds tasty, right?
Honestly, some of us went back for more. It was a much better pairing. Something about pickles and sugary drink mix didn't quite hit for us. But fruit with sugar? Yes.
Feel free to steal this recipe and serve it to your family. They'll be confused but they'll love it.
