At Flytanium, we take the quality of our products very seriously. And our Quality Control Specialist, Tessa, is incredibly detailed as she checks each and every item.
Here's what happens before we put a product into our inventory:
- Every product gets a visual check to make sure it conforms to our design, is free of dings, dents, and scratches, and meets or exceeds our expectations.
- We then match the product to our specifications sheet, checking key measurements with precision tools like calipers and micrometers.
- A portion of the entire batch will get test installed to ensure a proper fit on your knife. Each of our full knives get additional testing for movement, blade centering, and function.
- If any product fails any one of these tests, we take it out of inventory. If we find a significant amount of issues in one batch, we proceed with a deeper inspection to find a resolution.
- If a product won't install correctly, we don't sell it. If it's functional with cosmetic defects, we place it in our Garage Sale at a discount.
And if you happen to receive something from us that is less than our best, we're happy to listen and make it right. And we appreciate your patience as we work through multiple walls of products you've been waiting on.

Hey, I’m Tessa. I wear many hats for Flytanium, but my main roles are Quality Control Specialist and Order Fulfillment.
I have been with Flytanium for five years now. We're a small-but-mighty team but I started when we were even smaller. It's wild to think about how we've grown and what we've accomplished. This is definitely an amazing place to work.
A little bit about me... I’m a big Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter nerd. My husband and I also just bought our first home, and I've enjoyed making it our own.
I love what I do at Flytanium and I'm excited for this year's plans!
