Is a Pocket Knife Art?

Is a Pocket Knife Art?

We believe so. As shown above, we've been busy working on something that connects art and culture to the knife world in a big way.

Annissa, Meg, and B went on a little excursion last weekend to the UVU Museum of Art at Lakemount where they saw a cool exhibit featuring pieces from Alphonse Mucha, Master of Art Nouveau. This private collection is currently on tour, with many originals ranging from sketches, lithographs, poster, books, and even physical accessories...

The art was breathtaking, and Annissa and her husband both bought some coloring books based on work by Mucha.

There's always something new at Lakemount to see and it's a frequently visited location for a chunk of our team. If you're in Utah looking for a fun, free museum visit — definitely check it out!

Hi, I Wear Multiple Hats

Howdy and Aloha from sunny and snowless Utah. I’m Annissa — I used to write these emails, but Rhett has taken that torch.

I’ve been with the Flytanium team for two years working on data organization, website updates, social media campaigns, and everything in between.

Let me sum up my entire life in a single sentence: I was born and raised in Hawaii, moved to Utah four years ago, and got married last year. Yippee!

When I’m not at work, you can find me trying a new restaurant, wandering empty grasslands with my dog Penny, gaming with my husband (the new Ball x Pit update goes brrr), or futzing around with some arts and crafts. I’m embracing the simpleness of analog media, like puzzles, Pepin Press coloring Books, and physical journaling. It’s really nice to go head-empty and unplug from technology, I highly recommend it!

I’m looking forward to many more creative pursuits both work-related and personal — keep your eyes on our social media channels where I’ll talk about my latest project, a knife celebrating the 2026 Chinese New Year with some hand-drawn motifs.
